Amyn is focused on growing the company's leadership position as a premium provider of data connectivity solutions to many of the world's leading software companies. Amyn's responsibilities include facilitating the pursuit of Simba's strategic opportunities, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, driving business development, and attracting and managing human resources. He brings more than 20 years software industry experience to Simba. Amyn was a software consultant to Microsoft® Corporation where he worked on developing IIS, and to Adobe® Systems where he worked on developing a multi-media database engine called FETCH and Adobe PageMaker®. Prior to this, he worked for Hong Kong Bank of Canada to develop global electronic banking software, serving a portion of his tenure therein based in Hong Kong. In 2007, Amyn was named a recipient of Business in Vancouver magazine's Forty Under 40, an award recognizing excellence and achievement in business. Amyn was appointed Co-Chair of the Faculty of Applied Sciences External Advisory Council at Simon Fraser University in 2011. Amyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Simon Fraser University.
Vice President Engineering
Dave is responsible for Simba’s software engineering team and for ensuring the high-quality of Simba's data connectivity products. He brings over 25 years of product and engineering expertise to Simba. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President of Product Development at Colligo Networks, where he directed the development of Colligo’s market leading client software solutions for extending the functionality of Microsoft SharePoint. Prior to that, he held the positions of Director of Quality Assurance at Electronic Arts Canada and Director of Engineering at Motorola Wireless Data Division. At Electronic Arts, Dave restructured and managed a large scale testing department, servicing multiple concurrent console game teams on schedule-critical deliveries. At Motorola, he led a multi-disciplinary engineering department, which delivered the first commercial GPRS wireless data system. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelors of Science from Queens’ University in Belfast.
Director of Marketing
Jay is focused on planning and executing Simba's marketing and communications initiatives. He brings to Simba over 12 years marketing and communications experience from agency and corporate environments. Before joining Simba, Jay was part of the management team of NetNation Communications, Inc. and its subsidiaries, where he held the position of Marketing Manager responsible for the company's global marketing efforts, and later head of Corporate Communications and Corporate Development. Before NetNation, Jay worked in social marketing and strategic communications agencies on accounts within the biotech, health, publishing and learning sectors.
