Vancouver, BC - May 26, 2008 - Simba Technologies Inc., a Vancouver-based global leader in standards-based relational and multi-dimensional data connectivity, announced today that its corporate team raised $4,200, including a $1000 company donation, for the World Partnership Walk 2008 to combat global poverty.
The World Partnership Walk is an annual, non-profit, volunteer lead initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation Canada to increase awareness and raise funds to help fight global poverty. Tens of thousands of Canadians in cities across Canada joined on Sunday, May 25th to walk and be part of the solution end global poverty.
This year marked the 24th consecutive year for the Walk. According to Walk organizers, more than $40 million has been raised since the Walk’s inception, with $5 million raised last year alone to enhance education, improve healthcare, increase rural incomes and build capacity of community organizations in Asia and Africa.
